Slumdog Millionaire

Description: Danny Boyle's (Trainspotting, 28 Days Later) new film Slumdog Millionaire is everything you could want from a movie. I just saw it this past weekend and I can't remember the last time I have felt so invested in the characters of a movie and so anxious to see what happens next. Slumdog Millionaire is getting a lot of Oscar buzz already for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Supporting Actor and Best Film Editing and I have to say it deserves it all. Following an orphaned 19 year old Jamal in the hot seat of an Indian version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, Jamal recounts his life with his lifetime friend Sharim and Latika, the love of his life whom he is trying to get back, while being grilled over how he knew the answer to the questions, each question taking him back to a different moment in his life. This movie will make you laugh hysterically and turn your head away cringe in a matter of moments only to be rejoicing for the characters the next second. A definite must see!

ryan: I've heard a number of people rave about this movie. I'll have to check it out. good looks.
aston: This is a great film. I'd highly recommend too.
Eric: this was the second movie I've been to in the past year where people actually clapped at the end, the first being the Dark Knight, only this movie actually deserved it. Waay better than Dark Knight
ryan: Are there really any parallels between this and an action flick like Dark Knight to which you can compare the two?
jonny: "no more dead cops!"
Eric: haha, I just like getting a rise out of everyone's DK obsession
