Description: A new project from one of my favorite artists working in music today, Danger Mouse and James Mercer (Shins) just debuted their first single. The new group is being called Broken Bells for the time being. It appears that this is not just going to be a "produced by Danger Mouse" one-off thing. Mercer and Danger Mouse are apparently in it for the long haul and already have plans extending past their first album. The pair recently collaborated on the Danger Mouse/Sparklehorse album Dark Night of the Soul, which has made many "Best of 2009 Lists". Pitchfork's review of Dark Night of the Soul hailed the Mercer track, "Insane Lullaby", as "one of the finest moments on the album." Check out their new track. I think its definitely a sign of good things to come.
