Description Of Faith, Power and Glory sees the band reach a new level musically. Raw and more soulful than ever before, VNV NATION moves into new musical territories with their strongest and most profoundly evocative release yet, taking a big leap beyond what they had achieved on their previous releases. VNV NATION has been frequently described as one of the most unique and passionate acts in the world of alternative music. Their energetic, profoundly emotive and insightful music has drawn fanatical audiences from around the world. As with all of the band’s albums, their most recent release "Faith, Power and Glory"- the title describes the theme, and in this case it is a commentary on ourselves as individuals or on humanity as a whole. Faith, Power and Glory: three things that, in succession, can bring people to the greatest of heights and achievement, or that can corrupt and destroy. The artwork, created by renowned Polish graphic artist Michal Karz, depicts a memorial in the middle of a wasteland, representing the idealistic monuments humanity has built to its solemn, greatest hopes, as a consequence of displays of its capability for brutal extremes. In keeping with one of the principles of VNV Nation, namely social awareness, the band have endeavoured over the years to change aspects of what they do, to be as environmentally friendly as possible. As part of this ongoing process, the new album will come in entirely environmentally friendly packaging using only recycled paper, vegetable ink (on both the paper and the CD itself) and water based coatings and glue. It will weigh 40-50% less than a regularly packaged CD, which means fuel used in transportation, greatly reducing the carbon footprint normally associated with CD production.
