NEW YORK, New York – January 6, 2012 - Flat World Productions is thrilled to kick off 2012 with an unparalleled night of indie pop/rock as part of its ‘ElectriCathedral’ series at the acoustically vibrant Church For All Nations (CFAN), a Hell's Kitchen gem and historic landmark. Bands include NYC indie divas – Alyson Greenfield, who will be premiering her newest music video shot at CFAN, as well as Lachi & Meridian Gold, and Xenia Rubinos. Alyson Greenfield experiments with synthesizers, glockenspiels, chord organs, drums, autoharps, and beatboxers to create her "eclectic sound" (AM New York), chock-full of "satiating and seductive songs" (LA Examiner). Greenfield's engaging and charismatic live performances where "the stage becomes her playroom" (Venus Zine), have been called "amazing...funny, spontaneous" (Thy Daily Noise) and "mesmerizing to watch" (Music Crush Girl). Lachi has been featured on Oprah Radio, MTV Iggy, NPR, CBS Radio, The Onion, and various other entertainment outlets not to mention her performances at a growing list of famed venues and festivals including Joe’s Pub, SXSW, and more. Lachi is a force to be reckoned with, as she wields the melodies and composes songs inspired by life’s trials with a grace like no other. Simply put, Lachi is “the real deal”. (Derrick Ashong of Oprah Radio) “Brooklyn-based Xenia Rubinos has an endlessly intriguing voice that is at once nostalgic and refreshing. It has a familiar warmth, like returning to your childhood home after years of absence…” (Club Fonograma) Deli Magazine has praised Xenia saying she, “…stood out as something quite different and interesting. It sounds like world music with an indie, electronic edge.” Doors open at 7:30pm with Xenia Rubinos kicking off the evening at 8pm followed by Lachi & Meridian Gold at 9pm, and Alyson Greenfield at 10pm. Tickets may be purchased at the door for $10. Flat World Productions was established to produce high quality concerts and develop collaborative events thriving on "collecting and connecting". Flat World is fueled by "collecting" or gaining meaningful relationships fostered over the years and finding opportunities to put those contacts to impactful use by “connecting” the right factors to guarantee a winning combination of creative vision, thrilling experiences, and satisfied artists and audiences.
